IMPORTANT TRANSIT INFORMATION

  • Maximum Transit Draft: 12.04 meters (39 feet 6 inches) Tropical Fresh Water.
  • Maximum Beam: 32.31 meters (106 feet).
  • Maximum Overall Length: 294.13 meters (965 feet) for passenger and container vessels. 289.6 meters (950 feet) for other commercial vessels.
  • Maximum Airdraft: 62.48 meters (205 feet) is the maximum airdraft allowed for transiting
    the Canal or entering the port of Balboa.

    Effective May 1, 2006.
